Hello again

Wow! So much time has passed again... Now the kids are 2,3, and 4, so there is very little time that is my own. There are times this does not matter. I just plunge headlong into the day. Blast my art, my quiet, my solitude, my books, my mind. But lately, I have heard this call. Faintly, at first, but then louder... I need to center myself, to regain some sense of importance, some sense of self. I do not want to do this apologetically. And now, ironically and comically, I will post some pictures of our children!!!!

Hello to you all!

All I ever seem to post are pictures. Mostly, I am just (surprise, surprise) busy with the kids. Shockingly, we actually did make it out TWICE last week. Food 101 hosted a Johnny and June Cash dinner that was a blast. The live music was wonderful. The singer looked like Heath Ledger from Brokeback Mountain (wow!) and sounded just like Johnny! Food was great, and the company, well, that was stellar.

The kids are loud and wild, but healthy and beautiful, too. We are so grateful for them-

Laurel, my very old friend from Roanoke, visited for 5 days! I loved having her but am scared I made her not want kids- :) Just kidding!

Last night we hosted a neighborhood happy hour, my idea, not surprising to those who know me! It was a lot of fun, and we met some new cool people in the hood. Nice!

This is a shout-out to DANA! Happy Birthday (Monday)!!!!!
