Tired!

I had forgotten about how hard the first part of this newborn life is. Every 2-3 hours a night... Masie adores Callum and is gentle and sweet; but Blythe is a baby herself and is very rough. I have to constantly protect him from her curious fingers.

Callum got his first bath tonight and seemed to like it- Heath is feels sick and so has kept his distance. (I appreciate this for the kids' sake, but God, it's hard-)

Night is lonely. I wake up in the baby's room and feed him. Then, I lie in bed with my mind racing with all the changes that have happened. Sometimes, I hold him long after he has returned to his sleep and smell the newness of him. The love seems so great and so personal.
