Way too long.....

Where have I been? I really don't even know! I feel like I stumble from task to task, from day to day and keep realizing that I am leaving a lot undone.

Masie and I went to music class yesterday and had a lot of fun. She loves the music, the instruments, and "singing" with the other children. I have fun, too. I have found that the comraderie of other mothers is ultimately comforting. The music class is held in this old mansion. I have applied to start taking classes towards my MFA/PhD in Creative Writing at Georgia State. I just want to take one class this spring. I hope my writing sample is accepted. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Heath is working a lot of long hours lately. I feel like he has been on-call more than normal. I know he must be tired.... I fixed dinner last night, ultimate Americana, Lila's recipe for Sloppy Joes. I don't think Heath was impressed. He called it "shit on a shingle." Not my actual food, but the name of sloppy joes in general. I think he called it that in school. Anyway, I served it on a toasted bakery bun, and it was delicious. I am typing right now thinking, "Oh my God, I am actually writing about sloppy joes. I am I really that boring. I think...yes..I am :)

We watched 9/11 last night. Clearly one sided and distorted, but interesting, and I am sure that parts of it do have merit. To me the civilian war casualties were most disturbing, especially the picture of the dead baby. I left the room in tears. It sickened me. The filming was interesting, the grainy filming of Bush's face, and the clear film of the others. Heath pointed this out...
