Great news!

It seems that she had turned the corner!!! She spent most of the day awake- smiled at me and several nurses. They pulled her ng tube (feeding tube), and she breastfed like a champ. I am so happy and blessed. I keep thinking that without modern medicine Blythe would not be here, and so I am mostly grateful for her life and for all of those who have taken good care of her.

My mom's group brought tons of magazines and those have helped me pass the ttime more comfortably. Thanks guys!!!! (especially Claire who delivered)- I appreciate all of your sweet emails and messages. Also, Vicki- those yummy bars were DELICIOUS (and other snacks helped, too!) The balloon is on her bed-

We will probably be able to exit the ICU Monday, and then go the floor for a couple of days. Maybe home Tuesday or Wednesday?

Anyway, I need to get back to the room...
